Sapphire

Sapphire (Al2O3) single crystal is an excellent multi-functional substrate material with their special properties, such as stand high temperature, high hardness, good thermal conductivity, superior mechanical properties and excellent light transmission etc. It is widely used in  blue LED and LD devices. It is also used in superconductor devices and UV& IR optics.
