Undoped YAG
The undoped YAG (Y3Al5O12) is widely used for high temperature and high-energy applications . its mechanical and chemical stability is similar to sapphire, but YAG is no birefringence and no trace absorption between 2-3micron. It has higher optical homogeneity. It is an excellent new substrate and window material for UV and IR optics.
